This map deals with the whole of Thailand with detailed coverage of Phuket, Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Pattaya and Hat Yai. All major travel routes are shown with many national parks and all provincial boundaries indicated. City maps show public transport systems and hotels, which can prove helpful on arrival.

Although not showing the detail that is normal for maps in most western countries, this is about as detailed as maps get for the whole of the country. It folds up to a decent size and is well-protected by its flexible cover and I have found it handy to slip into a (large) pocket to keep track of where I am on long distance bus journeys. This map is detailed enough to find most out-of-the-way birdwatching destinations and I have used it to locate birding sites previously undocumented, although at times I wish I had something much more detailed. However, this map compares very favourably to others of the same style and has served me well over the years.
