Oriental Bird Club Pin Badges

Although this is not exactly news, I thought I would draw birder's attention to the 3 bird badges/brooches/pins that the Oriental Bird Club sell to raise funds for bird conservation in Asia.

There are three designs available: White-crowned Forktail (the symbol of the OBC), Gurney's Pitta and Rhinoceros Hornbill - all species found in Thailand. The badges are made from metal and enamel, they cost £2 each (or £1 with other purchases) and are available from the OBC website's sales page.

For anyone who has visited Thailand and seen these species, the badges make excellent mementos, and the profits will be used for bird conservation in Asia: the OBC has funded conservation projects in Thailand for many years and continues to do so.
